The School of Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies offers the Bachelor of Science in Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies. This undergraduate degree was purposefully created to help sustainably grow the creative industries in Georgia, and to capitalize on Georgia Tech's leadership of combining the arts and technology.
If you are a creative with technical promise, this degree means you don’t have to choose between disciplines. The entertainment and other creative industries increasingly require a workforce that is as technologically able as they are creative. In fact, this undergraduate degree includes courses from nearly every College at Georgia Tech.

Creative Jobs in Georgia
Between 2008 and 2019, Georgia expanded more in the creative industries than any other state, with an annual expansion of 210%. According to the TAG Media Report, creative industries as a whole make up an estimated $14.7 billion of annual revenue in Georgia, and annually employ an estimate of between 38,850 and 41,500 Georgia-based employees.
Georgia was also ranked second in film production by Business Facilities Magazine (having earned the top spot from 2000 through 2024). According to the Georgia State University report, “Building Georgia’s Entertainment Future,” this expansion of the creative industries is continuing, not only in film, but especially in the realms of immersive media and media entrepreneurship. Georgia Tech’s expertise in design, technology, and entrepreneurship has historically been under-utilized in these industries.
