The College of Design will establish the School of Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies following the Board of Regents' approval of the School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies.

The interdisciplinary curriculum for this undergraduate degree includes new core classes alongside collaborative offerings from across Georgia Tech’s colleges, building on existing strengths in arts, entrepreneurship, music technology, digital media, and more. As part of Georgia Tech’s leadership at the intersection of technology, design, and the arts, this school connects to creative industries and arts organizations in Georgia and beyond.

New Bachelor of Science Launching Fall 2026

The new Bachelor of Science in Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies (AECT) will combine artistic foundations, technical innovation, creative entrepreneurship, and sustained partnerships with creative studios, technology companies, startups, nonprofits, and artists.

Applications are now open to undergraduate admission and both internal and external transfer admission, with a full degree launch in Fall 2026. An optional portfolio gives applicants a chance to show off a wide breadth of creative work.

Graduates with this degree will become the next generation of leaders and innovators at the intersection of emerging technologies and the arts.  In AECT, studio-based learning combines with rigorous study of technology and entrepreneurship to build a fundamental understanding of the opportunities found when the arts combine with emerging technologies like AI and virtual reality.  Faculty and students in the new school will help lead and sustainably grow creative industries like film, gaming, and immersive media.
